Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This is a small personal advice site, and I keep this simple. Here's what happens to your information when you visit sdicomputer.com.
What I collect
Not much. There are no user accounts or sign-ups for visitors. If you email me at consulting@sdicomputer.com, I receive whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email address and message. I use it only to reply to you.
Like nearly every website, the web server automatically logs basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. I use those logs for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and local storage
I don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses:
- small session cookies set by the content management system (e107) so pages work properly, and
- your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark mode and accent color choice.
That stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Third-party links and news feeds
The sidebar shows headlines from outside news sources, and some pages link to other websites. When you click through, you're on their site and their privacy policy applies, not this one.
What I don't do
I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. I share it only when the law requires it.
Security and retention
I take reasonable steps to protect the information I hold, and keep it only as long as I need it for the purpose you gave it to me, or as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask what information I have about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing consulting@sdicomputer.com.
Changes
If I update this policy, I'll change the date above.
